Does anyone know if this is available right now? My local dealer said no but another dealer said it "appears" to be available since the employee discount is available.

It is, but of course it's dealer discretion so if they say no there's not much you can do other than try a different dealer. If you end up ordering you may as well use Granger or Mark Dodge though.

I did up getting my local dealer to accept my friends & family discount but I had to tell him I was going to take my business else where if they didn't. What a hassle that cost me about a month of screwing around.

I would think that friends and family discount would be a corporate discount governed by Jeep Dodge Chrysler corporation not any individual dealer. Just my opinion.
