Fire ext mount for HT & Soft

Thought about the floor mount but my size 12Ws are a tight fit already. Might lay the extinguisher there and check clearance.

I mounted 2 in my 2024 FE. I used a Halguard Pro 2.5 in the front and a 5lb dry chem in the rear on an Expedition Gear shelf. I used the H3R Extinguishers and Extreme Duty mounts.

Ok, yes I have hunted the webs as well as here but cannot find my answer.
I have a hard mount QD mount that I have used in multiple Wranglers over the years that I love. My current rig (‘24 392) has both tops and is a 4 door (obviously) this time. I had it mounted on the drivers side aft roll angled roll bar (HT on) as I have on other 2 door rigs. Changed to the soft top recently snd found that the mount is in the way of the soft top mounting bracket in that area. Figured I would just move is lower. Nope, in the way of the soft top while lowering. In front side of the roll bar. Nope, seat belt in the way.
Obviously I am not the only one that is mounting an extinguisher in a rig and utilizes both top options. What do you suggest?
I am thinking maybe hard mounting to the swing door. Maybe pax floor mount in front of the seat. Right now not ideal as it is sitting on the floor in the back seat.
I think my problem is this is my first 4 door, and the mounting options are not the same.
Thanks.
Troy
I made a custom bracket to mount my extinguisher in that area of the driver side rollbar. You could probably mod something to work. I don't quite see what on the soft top will interfere. Can you send pics?

I will take some pics when I put the soft top back on. Its the bars that hit when they retract.

I don’t have that rack in the back. I am also not too keen on mounting the metal extinguisher at head level for back seat riders. Not very safe in an impact.

Neat rear rack, brand/ link?
Thanks!

Expedition Gear. They are made in Poland and the shelf made it to my door amazingly in 1 week.

That looks nice and neat, and it's adjustable...added to my wish list!

Thanks

I've been following this thread cuz like @Lost me beer I swap from the SOT to the Soft Top and I've been thinking about adding an extinguisher in the back. I like the roll bar mount location the @3TV posted a picture of but I haven't been able to find a link to it. So I was looking at mounting options for the drivers side behind the passenger seats. Seems like a nice empty spot. I tried a 5lb bottle and it just fit but the 10lb did not. If you put it back there it would be for putting out a fire once your outside the vehicle and can get access to it. I think I would go with a 5lb Purple K extinguisher. If it was for use in the "hot seat" (driver's seat) and you couldn't just get out then having a small Halon 1301 fire extinguisher like on the aircraft would be nice but having a PBE would be nicer. I like that H3R passenger seat mount. But those Halon 1301 extinguishers are wicked expensive.

Anyone mounted an extinguisher here? I know there have been some ARB compressors mounted in this location. And I'm also curious what type of fire extinguisher people are using, Purple K, ABC Dry chemical, Co2, Halotron?

I purchased two of these and put one on driver and one on passenger front seats and put Element extinguishers in them. I did have to put some camper foam tape on the mount to tighten up the element and prevent from moving down / making noise.
