Final Edition Lift Height

Hey all!

I noticed this question on the regular JL forum.
I was under the assumption that a regular 392 was 2" over a stock sport.

If that is true, then the FE and the 20th AE would be 2.5" over a stock sport?

The first reply on the other forum said it was 1.5" on a regular, making the FE and the 20th AE 2"

The factory JL 392s come with a 1.5" factory lift over Sport has been the general consensus. There could be slight +/- due to the metal fabrication inconsistency.

20A and the FE are 1/2" taller according to the press but so far there's no concrete answer to where exactly the extra height comes from. Not from springs though since they are the same part number as the 23 MY. Can someone on the FB 392 group ask Scott about this?

My 22 XR tailgate plaque says 33.6” water fording. Found a 20A plate, says 34.5", more than 1/2"...

That’s great Scott confirmed, thanks for asking him! I remember one forum member posted the 20A springs a while ago and I couldn’t find any information on the overall lengths and spring rates.

I confirmed with Scott as well. So it was like i remembered, cause I felt like I’ve asked him 20 times

Any 20A's in here, would be interesting to know your driver side measurement from the top center of your tire to the bottom of the XR flare. Should be around 8.0"

My 2024 says 34" of water fording so that is exactly 0.5" less than the FE or 20A.

What is the distance on your 2024 from the driver front tire to the XR fender flare ?

That seems right. My X is 7 and my 392 is 9.5 with a Teraflex 3.5 lift. Both with winches. I believe the X was right at 7.5 before the winch.

Interesting, maybe the 24MY had already upgraded the spring based on 21/22/23 MYs.

I wonder this as well since I thought I saw somewhere that the 21-23 XR had 33.6” water fording, the ‘24 is listed at 34”, and the FE has 34.5” capability?
