Installing the Kraken air systems was one of my first upgrades for the inside of the Jeep in 2023. It gets used on the regular, paddle boards, tires, just dusting off the jeep after a topless trail ride, its sees it's duty cycle with the help of the Kraken making it the perfect compliment. If you have the Kraken Air system you know the ARB sits just under the from Passenger seat, with just really a peak of filters exposed when the front seat is not all the way pushed backed.
My kids occupy the back seats. If given a choice the kids would rather ride in the Jeep than any of the other stable mates. That means I have a herd of kids through the back seat on any given day. I knew that as the kids got older, legs and feet got bigger and the trails got harder, that the ARB was going to be under foot sooner than I wanted to replace it with the Brushless!
I reached out to Kracken Sept of 23 with "Will you please make a “kick Plate” for the dual ARM mount. My son keeps kicking the filters and hoses"
As Epic released the preorder for the Kraken Compressor Protection Plate Upgrade Kit for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator (JL/JT) I reached out and said I gotta have it and their response was amazing. Their support said we'll take care of you hang tight! Last week my "Kick Plate" arrived and the install happened this weekend.
I'll say the install is easier and took me less time than the trimming of the floor mats!
Marked the right holes, sandwich the new "Kick Plate" between the ARB and the mounting plate and tighten.
