I had the Genesis Offroad dual battery setup on my JK - beautiful system! Wondering if a dual setup will even be possible in the 392 with all that extra engine stuffed into the bay. Thoughts?

I had that same setup on my jku. Great product.

Space is going to be an issue with the 392… not sure how they will squeeze it in.

Also wondering about # of 392 customers out there vs jku/jlu owners. This maybe an issue for us going forward in general with mods… not a lot of 392 owners for them to sell to.

True.

Guess we'll all just have to band together and start making our own mods ;)

I just checked in with Genesis Off Road. They state the current JL Dual battery kit won't fit. I am researching Lithium Ion Batteries to see if I can get two of those in the existing tray and wire them in. I saw a guy did this a few years back with his JK because he didn't want to spend the $ on the dual battery tray and batteries.

I also had the dual kit in my JKUR and used both batteries a lot. Particularly when winching, running lights, etc. A handful of times, I used the "jump start" feature and it was nice, having that capability.

I inquired with genesis Off Road about ordering just the wiring loom for the dual battery set up. They confirm (as we suspected) the JL kit does not fit in the 392.
I asked if I could buy the wiring loom/kit and I'll mount the battery and wire it remotely, but wanted the kit.
They sent me this.

There is this as well.

Or, a single battery solution, with similar cost and greater support with less install work.

Hi all. Like you, I've been looking for a dual-battery option, as I'm trading in my '21 JLUR Diesel for a '22 JLUR 392 - but still want plenty of amp hours for my fridge. As it turns out, American Adventure Lab has a mount for an Odyssey PC1100 that will fit perfect in the rear cargo area. (They also have a larger one for the non-392s'). You would actually want the battery mount AND the hold-down bracket. (2 in all.) THis is the approach I'm going to take.
