Dropped off my Earl Grey 24 (392)

Thank you very much, now its off to Rip all the carpet out put in Armolite / JL audio AMP and Stealth boxes / Radelco / ARB air compressor / All my AAL goodies for the inside / HP tuner / Dyno Tuning it / I held off the Magnuson super charger for the moment. wanted to get caught up and get all this done. plus wanted to see how the power band is by just doing DYNO before boosting it. Never got the ARH Headers. They were so backed up and the build was not going to be delayed any further so we progressed without headers. Interesting fact is Magnuson rep told me I will get more power out of the unit with stock exhaust Manifold rather than headers. Says it needs the back pressure. I would have never thought that.
Nice.... my experience and thoughts are if you have a stock engine, intake, exhaust and cats etc then tuning is a waste.

It's much better to have reliable tested power than to advance spark timing and mess with air fuel ratio and drivability.

When you change the intake, port heads change cam and cat delete or the supercharger you mentioned then you'll need to tune the ecu for those changes.

I tend to agree with that unless you have a power add. My Turbo cars can get crazy with ECU/TCU tunes with very few bolt ons.

The 392 has more power than a Jeep needs already. I have a feeling the OPs Jeep is going to be a show Jeep.

The 42 is just very close. Completely slammed it was only about 1/8 clearance from the frame. So we went back down to 40s to be safe. it would have been fine on the street but going off road would have just been a little too close for comfort.
Aren’t Nitto and Toyo sister companies?

There were a few changes in the process. we were waiting on ARH headers that never came so we bypassed that. Plus a shop has to survive so you know they put small jobs in-between so keep cash flow rolling any business owner understands that. But yes there has been a little frustration on the timing. but over all they did a great job. We also fell into 3 holidays in between this build where everyone was closed for the holidays.
What one shop says it can do and what it can actually do are two different things. Have one mechanic get hurt or sick etc. and watch your build time extend. And take that same possibly and apply it to all of the vendors you are dealing with. Main thing is your getting it done right and YOU are involved with the build so when you hear that unfamiliar noise you at least have an idea as where to look for it.
Great build, can I have it when your done playing with it? Remember how your parents said you should share? Lol
I’ll give you a stock 392 XR so you can make any changes that were an afterthought. Maybe there would be a discount if two engines were ordered? Just thinking of ways to save you some money
Seriously it’s nice to see a builder and owner work together and make things happen the right way

Thanks, Its was fun to work on it together and see it come together rather than just show up one day when it was done. I liked the whole process.

now onto the stereo / Armlite flooring / ARB air compressor. I highly recommend the Armalite flooring it fits tight. BEST on the market. Oh and for you that want to upgrade the 24' JL or 392. There are 158 bolts you have to take out to remove head unit and some are in the worst spots. Have fun took 6 slow careful hours taking apart. Also if you are tying to install 6.5 JL Audio speakers in the aftermarket boxes. 1 of the boxes will have to be honed out bigger to get the speaker to fit. the other side will fit right in. It's just the way they are shaped. Different on each side. I mentioned before JL Stealth boxes no longer fit the 24' models best thing I could figure out is the ring for the sub from BRP and a JL - 10TW3-D8 - will have to Matt the back end and enclosure real good. back to work today I will send more pictures when that part is completed. Oh and for overhead speakers nothing fits. Nothing I could find anyhow. DS-18 has a prototype box done. Florida sales rep told me it should be in production in a few weeks. So the plan is to get that box and put the 7.7 marine JLs in that sucker. Welcome to wonderland.

Crazy nice build Brentfield. You sure have a great powder coater. Looks like you have a nice ride off road and on.
I have he Toyo Open Country and am very happy with them. Would go with Toyo again.
What was your final lift height on finished product?
Are those EVO long arms?
After cutting the frame for the air bump bracket do they re strengthen the frame in that cut out area?
Enjoy your ride.
Toyo does not make a 40x13.5x20

I run nothing but open county on my f250. I love them. 1st choice is Nitto / 2nd open county. / I got some take off Maxxis I will try them out on the 20 inch rims. But i got 17inch with Nitto on there now. The 20s just in box in my garage.

Waiting on parts. But started 2nd part of the build now. Gladiator matching trailer. Just picked up a bed today. Going to color match. Working with AAL to pimp it out. More to come in near future.

Drilled out drivers side knuckle and tapped it. Installed the gate cracker keepers. With a little Baja to boot.

So when can I pick it up? Great job on the build and can't wait to see the trailer. Are you working off of plans you made or a self made build sheet or just winging it as you go?

As you know there is no build sheet. There is alway a plan with dollars and plans are always evolving.
American Express / Master card / and VISA are all sending me Jeep anonymous information now.
I did not know it was a thing but I guess when I get out of AA class I can just stay an extra hour. HAHAHAHA

Know anything about Toyo Open Country Trail R/T tires?
Really like the look of that tire.

Ok we started to work on the stereo today. 3 JL audio amps. (2) 8 channel VXI and (1) mono 600 watt. Got the blue tooth adaptor and the network hub. Ran it all with fiber optics and cat 6. Put the genesis duel batter system in and mounted amps upside down on the American adventure lab mass rack. This worked out perfect. I counter sunk all crews from the top and used M6 screws and nuts to hold in with 1/2 runner washers to ensure no rattle. We dyno mat the complete rear end and removed the alpine sub and dyno mat the enclosure and rear of it to make it a solid unit. Got the BRP ring. Did not fit right with the TW10 JL sub so I had to router out the inner ring and sand it until it fit. Got some stainless screws from Ace and got it to fit nice. Also Steve that has the silver bullet gladiator took my sway arms and did the inlay on them. He does very good clean work.
