If you don't mind me asking, when did you place your order? I placed my order for a very similar build on 7/12 and was told at the time that the front camera and the trail rail system weren't available to order.

If the camera is available now, I may try to update my order.

Interesting. My dealer told me the system wouldn’t let him place the order unless we removed the camera and trail rail.

Me too! That’s not good news. First it was the Gorilla Glass, then the tires. This week its been LED lights and now the camera and trail rail. Feels like the 392 might be my Christmas gift.

As an update, I received my VIN yesterday and today Jeep Chat confirmed that my order was in the scheduling phase.

I did realize the that dealer left a few other options off my order, so I'm not sure if (1) getting a VIN means anything or (2) not having those options accelerated anything.

What I ordered:

• WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON 392
• Bright White Clear Coat
• Engine Block Heater
• Gorilla Glass
• Integrated Off-Road Camera
• Sky One-Touch Power Top
• Tow Package
• Trail Rail Management System
• Xtreme Recon 35" Tire Package
• All-Weather Floor Mats

What I'm getting (per my order sheet):

So, they left off:

• Engine Block Heater

Since everything except for the camera is an easy install after delivery, I'm not too worried about it, if it means I get the thing sooner. However, my dealer is checking with his Jeep rep to see if we can add these to the order without disrupting the process.

Jeep Chat confirmed I had a VIN on 7/21
Got a copy of the POC from the dealer today, 7/22 showing status "D - Firm schedule : Serial Number is Assigned"

Now, I've heard of people staying stuck in "D" for months at a time, but everyone told me it would be months before I got a VIN, so I'm a bit excited to say the least! Anyway, prepared to wait months on end and hoping I am one of those lucky people that get their Jeep quickly.

Have you asked your dealer for an updated POC? It will show your status and build priority. Build priority should shift to 01 from 99 and sounds like you may be in the same D status I'm in. That reply is very close to what I was told yesterday.

Last time I talked to him was last week, figured I would contact him every two weeks unit things start to move.

I was just thinking about something...I'm seeing a lot of chatter around folks being required to order the Recon package with their Rubi orders. I wonder if the speed at which orders are moving now are a direct result of the XR package. Maybe the factory is gearing up to produce these XR orders. The press release did state they would start shipping in August. Here's to hoping we got lucky and ordered at the right time

I think production starts in August, and it seems the reason for things been slow this week, might be a parts shortage.

In another thread it was reported by those who track build sheets and window stickers that not a single 392 has been built since the plant resumed operations on Monday. So we have lost almost two weeks.

This is the problem with the wait, we have too much time to think about making a change. I had a reason to order the way that I did way back and even if I can't remember, I'll stick to it. Keep thinking about that Hydro blue though. 10 weeks today and man is this hard.

With that said, quick Google and here's your answer:

"If in D your dealer technically "should" be able to make the change although I think it is a bit of a pain for them but it should be able to be done. If it is in D1 or later then no the change cannot be made."

Also, found "After VIN assigned, no changes"

I think the point is, ask your dealer. If you don't like the answer, cancel your order and start over.

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming this thread was intended to follow
