Which Dead Pedal are 392 owners installing? I've done a search on this forum and on the Internet and reviews are very mixed on nearly every product I see, including the Jecar.

I would like something that is strong, will not bend, has a solid install and looks good. Installation without new holes drilled, etc. is also a plus.

Thank you for your thoughts

I installed the MORE Dead Pedal from Quadratec.

PROS:
- It is heavy duty, solid
- It does not budge no matter how hard you step on it
- It floats above the floor, which makes cleaning out the driver footwell much easier

CONS:
- It’s pricy, but I think you get what you pay for
- If you install it without first removing the seat, you will need to contort your body in order to install it. Of course, this is probably true no matter which dead pedal you install.
- I had to ream the mounting bracket holes a bit to get the welded bolts in the backing plate to slide through the holes. The holes were the right size but they were a “tad” out of alignment with the bolts.

I put this one in:

u-Box for Jeep Dead Pedal Left Side Foot Rest Metal Kick Panel for Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT 2018-2022

Cheap and easy to install. Attached to an existing bolt. I liked the adjustability of it too, so I could make the angle fit my foot placement perfectly. Been 5mo and no issues. Still happy with the purchase.

How sturdy is it? Is there any flex at all when you mash it with your left foot? With this style dead pedal laying on the carpet or the rubber mat, I imagined there would be some flex.

Agreed...there is a little flex in it when you mash your foot down or really, really press hard on it, you can feel it flex a little. But it comes right back and feels solid overall. I'm still happy with the purchase.
Side note: Amazon (when I bought mine) offered free returns...so no harm in test driving it to see if it would work for you.

I looked at the Quadratec one too and I liked it, but being my 1st dead pedal, I decided to try this one first. Completely based on price and delivery time. Quadratec was out of stock when I wanted to buy.
