Dash Rattle 392

Hey everyone, I need some help, got a rattle noise coming from dash while driving at low speed or on reverse, driving me nuts, turning up the music or rolling down window to drown it out is the only solution so I won't hear it, any thoughts

Start slappin' dash panels, that's what I usually do!

If you make it go away, even temporarily, you know which panel to pull and find whatever's vibrating up against the plastic to fix it

These things drive me crazy as well! I'm curious to hear what you've found as I often need a head start tracking these things down because my hearing is not the greatest.

FWIW, I thought that I had a dash noise at first. I finally tracked it down to my SOT roof rattling as described in this link here. I also had the squeak with the back removable windows, but it went away on its own.

Thanks for all replys, my Jeep 392 in non recon without sot..I did go to dealer and they basically said rattle/ creek noise wasn't that serious to start taking dash apart to try to diagnose since it would have to stay at dealer for unspecified days since they were overwhelmed with cars needing repair with no loaners on hand for me..will look underneath on next oil change or if it gets really bad to bring it back asap...So with that I agreed and bought my jeep back home where it belongs until my 2023 comes in which will be recon with sot

Rear view mirror, the plastic cover rattling maybe?

Mine is/was the mirror. Took awhile to pin it down as it sounded as if it was my dash.

About a year to track mine down in my JLUR. My driver's side sun visor where it clips in. Plastic on plastic was causing the rattle. Used a piece of tape to solve.

Just picked up my 392 yesterday and driving home it had the dash rattle. Had to stop at dealer today and he got a tool and tightened the driver side sun visor when I told him others here mentioned that. Problem fixed. Thanks all.

Took mine on the highway for a relatively long trip a few weeks ago and noticed a strange rattle somewhere. Took it on another trip last week and rattle was gone. Sometimes these things disappear over time. Maybe a redundant piece of the suspension fell off or something. Hey, it's Chrysler.

I have this in our '22 but not our '21. I am just going to use a wooden toothpick and jam it in there and see what happens.
