My 2022 RAM 1500 came factory with the Tuffy Console Safe, so naturally I wanted to add one in our 2024 392, but sadly they said theirs won't fit a 2024+. I have been checking back with them for the past year and nothing. I recently found out that ConsoleVault.com now makes one that fits the 2024+ Wranglers.

Anyone with a 2024+ installed the Console Vault.com safe in their Jeep? If so, what do you think of it? Thanks!

It might be worth noting that the Tuffy offering for the prior years came with two sets of mounting brackets as our 392s have a different compartment inside. I'm not sure if that's true of the 24+ 392s, but the installation instructions make no mention of alternate brackets or mounting to accommodate a different compartment size.

I really need one of these! If anyone actually installs one of these in a 24/25 392 please sound off. In the stupid state of NM if some low life breaks into your vehicle and steals your gun and then uses it, YOU are liable both civil and criminally. We are a blue state so you can all figure out why. Needless to say you better make sure it's locked up good.

I am now leaning towards the Console Vault, since Tuffy (owned by Bestop) has gone radio silent. They were supposed to follow up this week with an update. Nothing.

It's also good for passports and the like. Unfortunately, my traveling shotgun won't fit regardless. 😆

I’m in the same boat, had a ‘24 Rubicon and now a ‘24 392 but the Tuffy won’t work with them. Had one in my 2018 and loved it.

I would have liked to have had one installed already, but waiting for someone to make one.

We leave for Moab next week, so no sense in ordering one just yet. It likely would not get here in time anyway.

Looks like they have a three day sale just starting.

I did order one of these last night, it was only $255 with the discount. We'll see how it turns out.

I just noticed something about the console vault that bothers me. While Tuffy says their safe is only good for up through the '23 model year the console vault company says that theirs is good for the '21-'26 models. How can Tuffy's not fit the '24-'26 models but console vault does, this concerns me?

A couple of us (me included) have purchased the console vault. I intend to share my results once it arrives and I install it.
Regarding why Tuffy says one thing vs a competitor saying another can be a myriad of reasons. Don't let it keep you up at night. Could be a Gen Z marketer with green hair that didn't update a website, or the due diligence of another competitors R&D dept knowing what their product will fit.

Don't let it concern you too much.

I look forward to your reviews, I too need one of these if it works!

Yeah I went ahead and ordered one since the sale ends today.

Received one of these today and installed it. The quality is very good. The way it installs in the console is OK but not great.

The problem is the amount of room available once installed. I have a Glock 26 and it's a very tight fit. I can get it in inside a small IWB leather holster but I really had to work at it. Without the holster it's fairly easy but still have to find the right way. Makes me a little nervous trying to remove the gun without the trigger covered.

Also have a Glock 48. There is only one way to get it in and out without a holster. Again, the trigger is exposed. If you have a full size gun I doubt you will be able to get it in there.

I think if someone would design one with the tray in the console cover removed you would get twice the room. Something I would be willing to do.

Mine should be waiting for me at home to install. Will see how well my S&W 40 fits.

Thanks for the info on the installation. Which type of lock did you order, looks like clearance would be tight under the tray?

Mine should have arrived today at home as well, but we are currently wheeling in Moab all week. I won't get home until this coming Saturday. FYI...I ordered the barrel lock. It looked like the shallowest of all the locks.

I got the combination lock so I can close the door and not have to actually lock it. If you get the keyed lock you have to lock it with the key to get the door to stay closed. Then use the key to open it. Kind of a pain. They have the different locks on their website so you can buy them separately if you want something different.

Thanks, I also ordered the combo lock and sounds like it worked ok for you as far as clearance under the tray.
