'24 model year, using wireless CarPlay my audio cuts out intermittently for about 1 sec. Haven't found any correlation to what causes it. Can happen ~5 times within an hour. Anyone else experience this? Doesn't happen when listening to FM, only streaming audio via CarPlay. I've had radio resets, factory resets, etc.

My Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra cuts out too some times. I normally can correlate it happening in about the same places, so I contribute it to interference or even possibly my phone trying to connect to other wifi like the Verizon store that is one spot that it always seems to happen. I have had it happen in my wife's car too that uses one of the AA Wireless dongles because her car doesn't have it built in.

One thing I have noticed is that the SOT operation makes the audio cut for half a second. This happens every time I push the button and also when the top closed/opens fully. Just me?

Nope, same here. Every time.

Mine hasn’t (yet) with my iPhone, but I wonder what’s causing that.

Should've said, this is with an iPhone. No SOT.

plug it in to the usb port. I had the same issue and someone posted the solution here. That being said it does not seem to play evenly thru all speakers but that is an issue with CarPlay. Same issue in my Toyota and Ford.

I had a similar issue that was related to a notification o the phone that was silenced. Even though the notifications were "silent" the phone would cut the audio for the notification. I turned off and on a bunch of notifications until it stopped doing it. In my case I think it was my Unifi camera alerts that were doing it.

This is a great observation. I’ll keep an ear out.

I have the same issue. I also noticed that it has happened during a notification. But its also happened when I haven't gotten a notification. There is a new version of car play that should be released around September, so maybe that will fix some of these issues. Also, report these issues to apple and on apple's support forums so that they are aware of it.

Carplay is full of little annoying bugs and this is not a Jeep only issue. My wife's BMW CP is full of gremlins.

Apple would better focus on fixing their bloat instead of more militant wallpapers and emojis.

mine does it with my iphone thru a dac ,then 3.5 jack into the jeep .i use this configuration to play hi res music , its way louder and more dynamic than just the phone pluged in using car play, but still cuts out for a second every now and then

which brand / model DAC are you using?

There are a few spots in my town where my wireless (adapter) for android auto will cut out. I believe the interference is from a railroad switching spot. I also noticed that it would cut out on road trips when I'd drive one particular farm on i65 going through Indiana.

I was having the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro. I recently updated to the iOS 26 Beta and have not had any issues with audio cutting out since.

With that being said, I would not recommend updating to the beta as it has some flaws in its current state.

def louder , every speaker is louder ,including the subwoofer
your DAC is an amplifier too, so that explains the increase in volume. When connected via AUX, I assume you lose the CarPlay connectivity, or not?
