Bronco RAPTOR vs Jeep 392 in a Drag Race 🏁

And now imagine a straight V8 392 at sea level :ROFLMAO:

Definitely appreciate how quickly the TFL guys are turning around content and was not surprised at all by that outcome. I’d expect it to be a significantly greater difference at sea level since this twin turboed engine isn’t as impacted by that mile high thin air as the 392. It did appear that the driver of the 392 was brake boosting also, wasn’t he? Never done it in mine, so can’t be sure.

That is exactly what I noticed! He defiantly gave it the beans with the brakes locked to go into torque reserve.

I am usually very skeptical of these runway drag races on YouTube. Drivers often don’t know anything about the vehicles and the outcome is often predetermined. But not TFL, Roman Mica the owner/publisher is a ‘real’ automotive journalist. While he has relationships with all the big manufactures he won’t just let the G-wagon win every time because he doesn’t want to piss of Mercedes, or Land Rover, or Ford in this case. This was a fair fight (even at a mile high). And once again it goes to show; there is no replacement for displacement. Now if they can get their hands on the new 2023 Ford Bronco DR then that will be an epic race.

Wouldn't be fair since the Bronco DR isn't a factory build. So a proper comparison would be the Bronco DR vs the AMW Hellcat JL. And you'd still save around $90,000 if you took the Jeep (only 50 Bronco DRs being made at $200,000).
