Bigrant’s 392 Build

Super Bowl install.

Added the Maximus 3 SLP hoop and light bracket. The clips on bumper were a pain but all good. Will be adding Rigid 6” to the light bracket soon.

750 Miles - Installed Rigid 360 6” lights on the bumper. Used some locking hardware and red loctite. Wired to Aux switches 3 and 4 and also used deutsch connectors to keep it clean and water tight.

1000 Miles - Modified the Lasfit pump and release button mount. Had it wrapped in foam but wanted to secure it somehow so it wasn’t rattling around. Has Velcro on it but wasn’t sticking as well as I’d like. For the button bracket I just cut it like @Casper showed in his build. Then mounted it. For the pump I made a bracket out of an old office bookend. I cut it with and angle grinder, bent it and painted it. Used velcro to attach pump and screwed the bottom of bracket I made to under dash existing support. Everything is now secure and tucked up nicely. See pic.

1100 Miles - Added Redline hood struts. As expected had to cut the passenger side bracket. Used Milwaukee rotary tool. Not too bad it took about 20 min. Added a little touch up paint. Really nice to have these over the prop rod.

One of the first things I did. The hood is super heavy especially when dealing with it when you have a lift and 37s

1200 Miles - Installed Hotheadliner and rear window trim. Super easy. Looks pretty good. I’ll try and get a sound test in next couple days. Curious if it improves radio sound and makes it quieter on highway.

Productive day. Added screen protector and Mopar 3rd Brake light relocation. Note to those with new XR wheels. The bracket does not fit without the light hitting the wheel. It will crack your light if you try screwing it down. So I added 1/4 spacer between bracket and lug nut posts that are included in kit. Seems to extend it far enough away from wheel to make it work.

1520 Miles - Installed Kill Switch. Wasn’t too bad was scared taking dash apart to get to start button but worked out better than I expected. It’s a 3 way switch so when it is in 3rd position horn will honk if someone tries to start it. Won’t stop someone who really wants Jeep but figured might slow them down a touch. First oil change coming up soon.

2000 Miles - First oil change today. The factory filter was crazy tight. Needed an oil filter wrench to loosen it. Using the SRT 041 to replace it. Also emptied catch can. Was about half full and looked like a latte!!

you may have gotten me to buy a catch can.

Honestly went back and forth on buying one. Figured it couldn’t hurt. And while I still don’t know the overall impact to the engines longevity, I’m pretty happy what I emptied didn’t go into the intake manifold.

3,200 Miles - Been a few months without anything major. Today I installed Mopar 2” Lift Lower Control Arms. Getting old ones off with impact wrench not a problem. Figuring how to torque new ones to 190lb was not fun. Quick test drive and she definitely isn’t as flighty and tracks better on highway.

Then for a simpler install did these door latch covers. Cleans it up a little.
