Around 6 months ago I installed a usb-c dashcam pigtail in my rearview mirror. No wires were cut or spliced. The pigtail came with two needle leads that were inserted into pins for the connector that powers the mirror. Ever since then I had an error saying collision avoidance system and cruise control are unavailable. The error remained even after I disconnected the pigtail. I tried clearing error codes with OBD Scan, but they do not clear and/or come back. I am dreading going to the dealer because they are a bunch of ignorant ass clowns and I am afraid they will damage the interior when they start taking things apart with a sledge hammer. I am pretty sure nothing is boken since there are tens of Youtube videos with Wrangler owners doing similar installs without issues. As a last resort, I want to disconnect the battery for a day and see if the system resets itself. Is there a particular battery disconnect / reconnect procedure to avoid having more issues?
