Just curious to see anyone is using off road + for daily driving? can we?

If you have done it you know it's pretty much like a sport mode. I like it but rarely use it. Downshifts are too aggressive but it makes it so much more responsive and loud.

I've not found a use for it too much on the trail yet. On the road I use it every once in awhile particularly in heavy traffic in the event I need the reaction timing. You def get a louder exhaust, and gurgle/pop especially when you have the big d*ck button on :)

Interesting. I leave the loud exhaust mode on most of the time. I haven't played much with the Sport+ option but may start trying it out to see if I like it any better.

What year is yours? I have a 22XR. I've read some won't go into MDS in OF+. One youtuber with a standard '21 is able to get his in 4cyl with offroad+.

I can't for the life of me to get my MDS to kick on in OF+. I can easily get the MDS to kick on in standard mode though.

Mine is one of the last 21's with the better seats and oil pan.

That picture was taken quite a while ago and I rarely look at the MDS display. I'm sure it was probably on slight deceleration so maybe cheating but to me on my Jeep it proved that MDS is not locked out by or+.

can you cold start in the morning with the loud exhaust open?
....planning on... "how to say good morning to the neighbors when the 392 comes in." ....I think the TRX is not as loud at 530am on a cold start.... :)

The button stays in the state you leave it in - so, yes, yes you can - LOL

The exhaust valve is vacuum operated. When vacuum is applied, it goes in to hush mode. Because it takes a bit for the engine to build vacuum, all starts are in loud mode, and if the performance button is off, it take a tiny bit of time for it to hush after starting.

I use Off Road + a few times a week when the opportunity presents itself. Funny, nobody's even mentioned Torque Reserve yet 😈.
Also, I can confirm @Viking Jeeper, on a 2022 Off Road + does not disable the MDS (unless you're in 4Low).

Heck yeah, your neighbors will definitely know you got a 392. 🤠👍
My neighbor has a Tesla and every morning it makes this super annoying loud alien UFO space ship noise as it backs out the driveway to warn pedestrians. so dumb. So as @guruman pointed out the 392 always cold starts with its exhaust valves full open in performance (loud) mode. So I like to think of it as a friendly good morning from my Jeep to the Tesla saying:

Seems that they changed OffRoad+ feature in later 2022 year models and newer, where when engaging OffRoad+ it does lock out MDS. I know that's how it works on my 2023 XR.
I don't think so.... Neither my 2021, or my 2023 disable MDS while in OffRoad+ mode. It might do it less often, and you might notice it less, but it can and will still enable MDS under the right conditions. Switch the display to the fuel economy page, and drive about a steady 40mph, unless you are driving uphill or into a headwind, MDS will activate anytime engine power is not required and 4cyl will show up on the display.

Mine won't. I've tried it numerous times and cannot get it to go into 4cyl mode in Offroad+. I wonder if it has something to do with the gearing and the learned driving.

I wish I knew what magic you guys were using.... I'd use Offroad+ all the time if it disabled the MDS.
