This was my 2nd purchase from them.
Easy flight from Raleigh to Philly.
They sent a Lyft to pick us up at the airport.
Did all the paperwork via FedEx beforehand, so they just put the temp plate on, and off we went.
They said they are swamped with new deliveries. People flying in, and people shipping.
One nice thing this time was they didn't put those PA inspection stickers on. Maybe a perk of them having to PDI so many vehicles!

Was planning to head North to visit family, but a winter storm made us decide to head back South instead.
Stayed one night in Horsham, then headed to Charlottesville for another night.

Congrats! Nice way to pick it up. One day, I’ll know this feeling too!

Congratulations!!! If you’re still in C-ville, check out Continental Divide for dinner (SW Tex-Mex fare with great tequila selection).

Thanks for the sharing the experience. I was thinking to train in from DC, and glad to hear they gave you a ride from the airport.

When did you order? Did you specifically request to not have a front license bracket installed?

Enjoy!

We're already home, but will check that out next time we're up there.

I ordered on 11/24, and it came in with the big shipment of vehicles they got at the beginning of February.
About 8 weeks.

Both this and last time, they did not mount the front plate.
I didn't even have to tell them.
They install wheel locks, no charge, and that's it.
No dealer badge/sticker either!
They offered a plate frame, but I declined. Probably could have used it, as the paper temp one is already curling up!

8 weeks??!!!🥳 That must be a record! What kind of dealership is this?! Discount (I assuming) + free wheel locks… must be a unicorn dealer :)

Again, congratulations, and drive in good health!

[BTW I ordered on 18 Jan 2022 and I expect a 4-5 month wait at a minimum].

Non XR makes a big difference, I think.
Last one was 5 weeks! (Ordered 9/28, arrived first week of November).

That's Chapman.
Lots of 392s and TRXs there.
All sold orders!

They do ok.. and I have previously praised them as I bought mine there.
Let me update.

First off.. I got a good price in the end... thats the positive.

Negative..
1. They literally act like you're annoyed you bought something there... right up until you show up to pick it up. Then they are pretty decent.
2. Communication is a 3 on a 10 scale. Goes along with #1. There is very little communication after you order.
3. Today ..almost 2 months after picking up the Jeep.. I received the title.. a bunch of paperwork.. and a refund check for my tax and license fees... along with a letter saying.. here's a check for your fees and a temp plate if you need it.

So I now get to drive 10 miles to my bank.. deposit the check.. then drive 30 miles one way to the DMV on a day off and wait in line to do all of the legwork myself.
Which .. isn't necessarily a gigantic deal if there were some sort of explanation accompanying this letter. Which there is none. No emails.. phone calls.. or texts.

So if you want to save a bunch of money and have a piss poor experience... They're great.
If you want to spend an extra 1% (maybe less since the latter may price protect) go with Dan Cummins. If they communicate privately as much as they help online... you will be in good hands.

Yeah, I get you on 1) and 2)
Don't expect hand holding along the way.
It was almost like ordering from Amazon. ;)
Place the order electronically, (email) wait until your package arrives. Only communication in between was initiated by me, and usually took more than one try to get a reply.
On 3) though, they came thru. They took care of getting my plate transferred and settled all paperwork the NC DMV. (That the NC took 8 weeks to process it, that's on our slow DMV down here)

But,
-their price was one of the best out there.
-they didn't ask for anything up front. Most other places wanted $1000 up front, non refundable.
-even though they clearly stated both my orders were over allocation, with no guarantee they'd be picked up, I had VON immediately, and a VIN shortly after.
-first vehicle arrived in 5 weeks, the second in 8 weeks.

I dont disagree... except for the customer service.
If Im spending $80k+ and have one question every couple weeks... I expect an answer within a day.
Whats worse is there were a few very important questions that emails and texts were ignored...I called and a "message was taken" and never responded to.
That is unacceptable to me. And of course this latest debacle with the paperwork returned. Emailed... called.. sent texts. Zero response. Even contacted the owner directly. Crickets. ( I was pleasant in my emails/texts contrary to my disappointment )
Spent 3+ hours on my day off fixing where they failed. DMV couldnt believe how bad the paperwork was (Im sure the people waiting in line behind me were pleased as well)
My tax form had their FEIN in my SS spot... $ amounts in various spots were vague and some incorrect... etc etc etc.

Like I said..

Great deal.
Piss poor customer service.
Guess you cant expect both

I appreciate Zach@granger being a part of the forum so we can all communicate with them. Seems like the guys at Chapman could have a rep here, but there are a lot of forums. I just think this one is the best.

Hello All,
Placed a order with Chapman yesterday (nice, quick, and friendly process with Courtney)
status: BA build priority: 01 schedule priority "sold order"
Got a VON# , now I guess I just wait and wait and wait some more? lol
Does the dealer reach out with updates?

From my experience, you'll have to shoot them an email every week or two.
They gave much better status than Jeep chat. Like actual build status, rather than "I see parts are being ordered"

No.. they dont.

Set your expectations of customer service at the bare minimum and you will be fine.

They’ve been very responsive and helpful to me every time (weekly) I ask for status. Just received notice that mine has arrived, so about ten weeks from order to delivery. And, of course, their discount was very generous in this market. Thankful for the Chapman crew!

Congrats! XR or non-XR??!

Thank you @SanDiego392 ! Super stoked… been watching YouTube videos daily. XR, Half-doors, Tow package, Gorilla glass, Off-road camera, Satin black grille.
That’s insanely fast! I’m 9 weeks in on a similarly optioned order and haven’t had a single movement. Still in “D”. Awwww the luck of the draw.

That is truly mind blowing to me. I am 23 weeks and in D1. Expected to leave the factory 4/21… which will be 25 weeks - and then another 4 - 10 to get it delivered. 9 is bonkers!!

Another happy Chapman customer :)
From my order to delivery was a painful six months, but during this journey, Chapman was there giving me updates whatever I asked.
In this regard, Tom, Ashlie Ryan, and Kyle Whalon were very kind and patient in answering all the questions I had during the process.
Finally, it starts happening! I got my build sheet and windows sticker, and then it was time for the delivery process. Chapman honored the price agreed upon the day of the order with no questions asked.
Joseph Taber walked me through the process, even helping to get a reasonable loan rate with them. Steve Levitt took care of the delivery, making the process quick and easy. I feel that I made good friends there. I strongly recommend it!
