I heard from a local dealer that they put a couple orders in to Jeep without an allocation, and the builds were accepted. Anyone else hearing this? Do you think the dealer still needs an allocation to get accepted? thx

That is my best estimation/guess. When we order them, a pop up shows at the top of the page that says "ALLOCATION IS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE SCHEDULES FOR SOLD OR STOCK". So the unfortunate part, is the orders that have been placed without allocation at dealers will sit until that dealer receives allocation.
Without getting too deep into it, there are a lot of variables, I’ve been told, that determines allocations. Sales volume, the level of training we have completed per store, location, and much more can possibly play parts to decide how many per dealer.I'm Thinking that the allocations were set up for pre EasterJeep Safari (EJS) for some marketing reason. I am speculating that Jeep limited the number of orders prior to the debute for some reason. The week of Easter Jeep Safari the dealers in Southern Arizona I contacted in Dec - Feb that did not have allocations prior to EJS called me to ask if I still wanted to order one. Too late though as I ordered mine through a dealer in Michigan in Feb.

I don’t work directly at Stellantis, however, so I can’t speak for the company.
I have ordered two without an allotment and one is in D and the other is D1 . Both are at MSRP.
That is a true possibility. The requirement for allocation wasn't there originally, but is something that is required now.I placed an order without an allocation on April 28 and it went to BX status one week later and then to D status on May 15.
Same with my dealer , my order was a sold unit and dealer had no allocations left ... and few month later I got itThat is a true possibility. The requirement for allocation wasn't there originally, but is something that is required now.
My dealer had 2 allocated but my order was accepted and I have the car. Meanwhile their allocated 392 s aren't in yet. That is my best estimation/guess.
