I recently lost my best friend, my hiking and trail buddy, my copilot. So, to remember and honor him, I thought I’d start a post where we can all share our best Jeep‘n buds of the 4-legged variety.

Oh man! I'm so sorry for your loss. The emptiness they leave behind, the pain of losing them, is indescribable.

I lost my girl, Precious (she was 17 years old, we had her 15 years), on 7/17/2021. Still has my boy, Shaggy, but he is getting up there. He's been with us since he was 3 months old. He is now 15 years old. Here they are sleeping on the passenger side after one of our trips.

Sorry about your loss. He looks like a great companion. Great idea for a thread. Dogs and Jeeps go together like peanut butter and jelly. We have 3 dogs, they all love the Jeep rides.

Looks like that seat was molded just for Shaggy!
And thank you guys for your support! I love the Jeep community!

Haha. It's both of them in that picture. Precious is sleeping under (that was her last trip), facing the camera, and Shaggy is on top facing away. They enjoyed that trip but were so tired on the way back.

Nice! I didn't even catch that until you said that - now it's so obvious! SMH!
15 and 17? You know how to treat dogs well, Sir!

This is a great idea for a thread and I'm sorry to hear about those of you who have lost your friends recently, the doggos definitely make life more fun. We have 4 ourselves, so I'm throwing up Summer and Opie in our old JK. And don't worry we have special seat belts for them that lock them in when the doors are off so they can't go anywhere.

Knew you’d appreciate Border Collies! your pups brought a smile to my face! Especially Diesel as a “wee lad!” 😁😂

Realized Levi is almost 8 months old Now! Good lord, he’ll have gone off to college by the time I receive my Jeep.
This really is a long, long, long wait!

This was Kady, she knew how to use the back of the rear seats to brace herself on tough climbs! She would guard the jeep even when the doors were off and we'd stop for lunch somewhere. She spent most of her life out on the trails and riding shotgun with me. The original rock crawling dog, my partner for 8 years.

The black dobie in my profile pic is Dizi, her successor! She has been a city dog most of her life, and is very much a creature of comfort. I hope to introduce her to the trails ASAP!

^^ Last photo is the new pooch. She's grown up from the profile pic, and she's got a lot to learn about wheeling, but she's a great pup <3
