o.k., so this is a search task as well as a warning. We need an a pillar light mount for the 392. The JL version will not fit, as the hood is a bit taller than a standard JL. Just tried the artec mount to find this problem. So...let us all know if anyone can find a true 392 a pillar mount. Thanks!

Have you checked out Rigid?

I have. The rigid connects with top and bottom cowl bolts. That is the problem. Our hoods are about 1.5-2 inches taller than a rubicon jl. The only one I have found is from go rhino. https://www.gorhino.com/Windshield-Cowl-Light-Mounts They are offset instead of stacked, but as of now - that seems to be the only option.

Here are some more. Maybe the same problem though:

Update: even though the gorhino indicates the mounts work for the 392, they require different bolts as the provided ones are too short. I have ordered some 75 and 80mm length m6’s. Will update everyone on outcome. ...and yes, any that mount to both top and side will most likely not work due to height of hood being different than standard jl.

Doesn't the Gladiator Mojave have the same hood as the 392? If they fit that, they should also fit the Wrangler 392.

Not sure. Have not heard that. The update I have is that the gorhino mounts will work, but you have to get replacement bolts for attaching to cowl. You need quantity four of m6x1 80mm. Hope this helps anyone looking to mount some lights.

Update: decided to change the mount that attaches the lights to the gorhino cowl mount. I painted the rigid industries brackets that come with the lights and attached to the gorhino. I personally like the look much better, but just my opinion.

Same problem for roof light bars - just tried the KC Hilites JL mount and *boom* suddenly discovered that our hoods are taller <many curse words redacted>.

Anyone seen any alternative options for roof lights?

What do you guys think of these?
They are on a Mojave.

I am so bumed, I miss my full rack and lightbar that I had on my 2016. This is as far as I have got with the lighting on my 392. I liked the light bar look and with the 392 hood I can't find a lightbar that goes over the window!

These are GoRhino mounts with 4inch Rigid 360s. I needed longer bolts than what they came with. Very sturdy and no vibration.

I went with these Seven Sparta mounts after finding that my original KC brackets would not work. I had to enlarge the light mounting slot as my KC lites use a larger diameter stud compared to some other light brands. Very solid mount and I'm happy with the positioning. The stock Jeep bolts worked fine.

I did have to invert the KC bolt as the nut goes on the bottom, and the end of the bolt risked touching the paint. The light base has a hex shaped slot for for the bolt head, which also worked to capture the nut, so tightening the bolt is still simple. Lots of clearance now.

I couldn't find a mount that I liked so I made my own. Used 8mm of carbon fiber then clear coated for UV. I was getting a little vibration and had to stiffen the bracket underneath the cowl to handle the LP'4's. Rock solid now. I also made some blinders to eliminate light cast on the hood.

That is one beautiful and functional installation CPT!

Yesterday I just spoke with Baja Designs regarding the issue of the side – lighting of the LP4s when mounted on the A Pillars. I can see from the photos that you placed a beautiful carbon fiber blocker on the inside edge of the light. Baja Designs' suggested using vinyl tape and said that it should not melt but your solution is much better. Please let me know when your mounting and light – blocking kit is available!

You got mad fabrication skills, @CPT Papa !
Looks great!
+1 I am IN for the purchase of the CPT Papa mount and blinders--just tell me where to send the $$$$ CPT. We are also both in SoCal! Now if my 11/1/21 392 order would just arrive! Of course, understand that many of been waiting for longer so I'm doing what I can to stay patient.
