392s in the wild...

Saw an RV on Sunday whilst driving back to Chicago from Atlanta flat towing a Tuscadero 392XR.

I also saw a high a Velocity Yellow High Tide with XR Package. It looked really good.

Not only did no one spot me in my 11+ hour drive to NC this past weekend, but I didn't see a single 392 in the entire 650ish mile run. Tons of JL wranglers, but not even one 392.

This morning in NoHo (NYC):

Did you happen to see the HVY on 85 by chance?

I have actually seen quite a few surprisingly around my area.

Non XR
2-White
1-Black
1-High velocity

XR
1-Hydro Blue
1-Sarge Green

I think it was on 75 or 24. I honestly can't remember exactly. It was in Tenn or KY if I recall correctly.

Not only the two in the 'real wild' pictured in this photo with 392RUBI and 392RUB license plates from Texas and Arizona respectively but there were five more spotted in Ouray, CO this past weekend. Four of which were nice and shiny clean. This photo is courtesy of Allison Kern in a JT behind us as we started our descent down the "hard part" of Black Bear Pass two days ago.View attachment 7254

That part is hard... For Toyota 4Runners. :ROFLMAO:

Great height comparison IMO
I've been really wanting to park next to a XR.
I'm a JLU with a 3" lift and 34" BFG KO2.
I talked with the owner for a couple minutes. Said he loved it. As you all know when he started it up it sounded like a damn race car 😁

Just saw a can't remember what the name of the blue is heading south on CO9 at a construction area at 12:25 today. I can't seem to remember to look to see if it's an XR or not, but he did have a Next Venture muffler skid just like mine!

Spotted a black 392 in Canon City today. He was westbound and I was eastbound on Hwy 50. That brings my total to 12 in the wild.

I saw a woman pulling into my parking lot at work today in a Tuscersdo392, then while dropping off mine at the shop for complete speaker/amp/sub upgrade, I parked next to this black one.

I am in Silicon Valley-South Bay where MBZ, Corvette, Porsche/Audi, Tesla etc are commonplace. Other than the dealerships I have seen a grand total of 1 in the wild and that was just last week. Rare in my area regardless of all the tech $$$$

Seems to settle the debate of whether the XR and non-XR have a difference in height….
Of course they are different in height. I don’t think there is any debate. An XR has taller tires…. But there is no debate that they have the same amount of lift from the factory. This has been confirmed by Jeep repeatedly. All wranglers can be a little more or less lifted based on options and mileage.

I spotted a Sarge Green on CO hwy 8 heading northbound and pulled into the Fort restaurant just north of hwy 285. I always forget to see if it is a XR or not. Grand total of 13 now spotted in the wild.
