Just curious if anyone is using Jacking Pucks or similar devices to avoid damaging the Jeep when it is lifted using a hand Jack? I will be removing the factory rails and adding a rail/step so I imagine that any puck or other device would grip on the pinch rail at the approved jacking points.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I removed the stock rails and installed aftermarket, no need for jacks at all.

I would never lift a Jeep at the pinch weld, frame only.

Correction: Frame or axles.

Agree. No need to lift for side steps, if you must, then frame or axles.

Somehow this thread got way off track. I'm simply asking whether there are any pads, pucks or other devices that others are using between the Jack and the Jeep to lift it up to change a tire or otherwise access the bottom of the Jeep.

Thanks!

@Stealth7 - if you decide to use the pinch seams/welds here is a link to a company that makes jack pads for the Jeep. I use a set of these for my other vehicles, but obviously designed for those particular cars/trucks.
