I have an SOT on my 2023 392 and have a permanently mounted 2000wh Bluetti in the rear with a charger 1 and have stopped carrying solar panels. But if I am in a site for 2-3 days I have to start my Jeep for a bit to top it off. Curious how this would work, the company has a good reputation and I know friends that run their products on their roof top tents. 40W is not a lot and not sure I want to look at that on my sexy ass hood everytime I get in the rig....

To each their own, but that looks awful.
then again Fab fours has made a mint capitalizing on poor taste, so theres that.

That thing is… not very pretty, but we all have different tastes 🙃

If it were me, I would invest in a portable jump starter and I’d also invest in a cheap 100 w blanket. Bump the panel up to 200w if you’re running lots of electrical and want to stay off grid for extended time.

I have dual-lithiums in my Opus 4 and my 200w panel is enough to run off grid, indefinitely.

It would take a gaggle of Oompa Loompas to glue that ugly ass piece of panel on my baby, was curious to see what responses there were:) I have a small 200w foldable blanket that I will take when needed. I thought it was funny how many different hood panels this company had for all models of vehicles....

I might be in the minority, but this actually might be a good solution especially for those having the need for solar charging AND a SOT top, thus limiting mounting locations.

For those hating the look, combine this panel with a Underground Graphics 392 black decal for a seemingly integrated look.

If you have a large solar generator in your 392, check out the Bluetti Charger 1. It charges at 500-750wh while your vehicle is running and has pretty much replaced the need for me to carry solar panels.

My buddy put one on his TRX. He wheels the crap out of it too. His install was hilarious.

Here's an alternative for you. Unclear from the website if this would slot nicely on the 392 hood. But if it does, it would look a ton better.

My challenge is charging my aux LiPo battery when the Jeep is seating for a while. I have a BlackVue camera that has cell streaming ability, but it empties the LiPo in few days if the Jeep is not driven.

That is cleaner looking, interesting to see this thread growing. It started off as joke

Epic just installed the Cascadia4x4 one on The Ginger's Jeep. Here's their video.

I watched that yesterday, don't want all those fasteners stuck to my hood. I guess if your going to buy them then the panels are staying on all the time. $600 is also a little crazy, just get one of these and call it a day...

I was considering the EcoFlow alternator
