Just got my 392 back from Alternative Finishes and they did an amazing job with my paint protective film. I was looking for a way to protect the brand new paint on my black 392. Initially, I considered ceramic coating. After talking to Michael at Alternative Finishes, I learned that paint protective film offers the highest level of paint protection. PPF is self healing and conceals scratches in the film once exposed to heat. Additionally, the film comes in a gloss finish or a matte finish. Of course I chose the matte finish. I’m so happy with the final product. Looks great but more so, I know it’s functional.

Looks great! I just had PPF put on my black 392 this week and now wish I had gone with a matte finish.

Love it!! Definitely interested in doing mine matte white.

Looks awesome! I think black comes out the best with the satin ppf.

How did the gloss black film turn out? I’m so happy with the matte black!

Thanks! The owner of the shop has a grey cayenne with matte PPF… looks boss af!

But I’m with you on this one, black looks the best!

Looks stellar! Would you mind sharing a cost estimate one should expect for the wrap versus coating? No worries if you’d rather not share, but maybe at least a high/low range? Would really appreciate it. You put a wrap at the top of my “to do” list.

Any way you could post some pics of the gray? My 392 is granite and have been contemplating stealth, but can't pull the trigger just yet. As much as I like the granite with the gold trim tones, not sure how they would go with the stealth?

I have hesitated on doing this post, as I never like to seem like a negative nelly. That being said, the only thing to be aware of with the white is some of the seams are possible to get road grime accumulating and eventually getting under the seem. It is not to the point of not doing it by any stretch, but if you are very detail oriented and that kind of thing bothers you - just be aware. I did my daughter's white JL in stealth. The white looks sick and definitely gives you the custom look that not too many have. Just trying to make sure you have all the details good and not so good.

The cost will depend mostly on how much of the car you decide to cover. Options vary from the from grill and bumper to the entire vehicle. I did the entire vehicle to protect from parking lot haters and those little pinners when going off-road. No difference in price for gloss or matte finish. Will cost around $6500 for the whole sha-bang. But the increasing costs of medical carefrom everyone snapping necks to look at your Jeep… Priceless! The xpel has a 10 year warranty (I think; don’t quote me on this).

Check out their Instagram page @alternative_finishes! There are tons of cars with different colors and finishes. My Jeeps up there too.

I tried to grab a screenshot for you but most of the posts are videos.

I posted the website in my initial thread.

I dig it, different and tough (probably easier to keep clean)

That's look amazing! Are there any special instructions you need to follow when washing it? (i.e. what products to use/not use, how often it should be maintained, etc...)

Thanks!

No special care instructions. It just says to wash regularly. Avoid pressure washing near exposed film edges. Recommended safe distance is 36”.
