Well, there it is... the price decrease that NEEDED to happen that is going to either make you happy or piss you off.

The question is, will there be an increase in reliability?

November 12, 2025 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Next year marks a milestone for the Jeep® brand, celebrating 85 uninterrupted years of trailblazing heritage. No pauses. No off seasons. Just a legacy of relentless adventure. To honor eight-and-a-half decades of freedom, capability and iconic design, the Jeep brand is launching the bold, new, Twelve 4 Twelve celebration, a yearlong tribute as legendary as the brand itself.

Starting this month, a brand-new Jeep Wrangler buzz model will be revealed every month for the next 12 months. This exciting campaign puts the Jeep brand’s legendary spirit front and center, honoring a legacy built on innovation, individuality and more than 7 million Wranglers sold.

“Starting today, the Jeep brand will unveil a new limited-edition Wrangler model on the 12th of each month for the next 12 months—an integral part of our yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve celebration commemorating 85 years of off-road leadership and adventure,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of Jeep. “Each product release will embody the boldness, authenticity and unapologetic spirit that defines our brand. It's an ongoing tribute to the capability, freedom and adventurous DNA that have shaped our brand for generations.”

Viewers who watch the “Operation Airdrop” launch film and the following videos in the series, along with those who visit Jeep.com, can catch clues about the future Twelve 4 Twelve editions by following the feathers.

"While the term ‘airdrop’ might hold an entirely different meaning today, for the Jeep brand it is an acknowledgment of a brand-defining moment – the parachuting of the Willys MB onto battlefields nearly 85 years ago," said Olivier Francois, global chief marketing officer, Stellantis. "There is no other automotive brand that holds this kind of history in America. So, as we prepare to launch the first in our 'Operation Airdrop' video series, each special-edition release will serve as a symbolic airdrop in our yearlong marketing campaign – uniting product, place and purpose."

The Jeep brand “Operation Airdrop” campaign was developed in partnership with Chicago-based agency Highdive, with AI-generated visual effects by 1986 Studios.

Debut Product Drop: Jeep Wrangler Moab 392
Inspired by the Jeep brand’s 85th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari, hosted by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers based in Moab, Utah, the new Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 also celebrates its namesake by continuing to give back to the off-road playgrounds that passionate Jeep fans and enthusiasts have come to know and love. With legendary 4x4 nameplates like Moab, Rubicon and Mojave, the Jeep brand proudly continues its support for initiatives and projects that champion responsible off-roading and the preservation of our natural landscapes.

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 boasts high-performance muscle, modern tech and unmatched 4x4 capability to handle the daily grind around town and to transition to off-road terrain with ease. Power and performance are amplified by a 6.4-liter, 470-horsepower, V-8 engine with 470 lb.-ft. of torque, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, 35-inch all-terrain tires, 4.56 axle ratio, 2.72:1 Selec-Trac full-time T-case plus two-mode dual exhaust, cold-air intake hood with water separator and more. Other features include:
  • Exterior: Body-color hardtop, rock protection sill rails, mold-in-color fender flares and black tow hooks
  • Interior: Heated black Nappa leather-trimmed seats, premium Alpine audio system, 12.3-inch radio with navigation
  • Optional equipment: Sky One-Touch powertop, 8,000 lb. Warn winch and all-weather mats
Orders for the new 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 are now open, with a starting MSRP of $79,995 (excluding $1,995 destination).

The next Jeep Wrangler limited-edition model will drop on December 12.

Exploding first onto the scene, with unmatched power and presence, is the new 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392.

“The first release in our Twelve 4 Twelve series is the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 edition, a purpose-built powerhouse that delivers exceptional value and performance. Engineered with a no-frills, back-to-basics philosophy, it proudly reflects the core legacy of the Jeep brand,” said Broderdorf. “Our community made their voices heard, and we listened. The 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 will remain a defining force within the Jeep lineup.”

Each new Jeep Wrangler drop will be supported through the yearlong marketing campaign “Operation Airdrop,” designed to run across the brand’s digital and social media channels. The first video in the series, revealing the Moab 392 edition, launches online today.

Interested on if there will still be dealers that will do discounts on these now that the prices are coming back to earth. Also maybe they decided to lower the price of the 392 and scrap the 5.7 since there would be no tooling or production changes and they would cannibalize sales of each other.

Well, I'm happy with mine and I hope that this increases the sales - which helps in two ways. 1) Increases aftermarket support and 2) increases real world mileage which will hopefully refine reliability even more. Does it suck that my Jeep instantly has lost half its value? Yes. But I'm not going to lose sleep over it, I'll just go hit some trails to unleash my annoyance.

I purchased used and got a good unit for around 60k. Even at this price I would probably still wait and grab one with a year’s depreciation. Good to see that there will be more to choose from in future.

i paid the same for mine, ill prob keep it to be honest, not fan of the new super wide display and the new 'leather' they are using just feels weird/wrong to me

also i don't think it will really impact pricing long term on the std 392s, its a special edition in a time where no one is buying cars, especially 80K cars, even at the discount compared to the final-final-editions i don't think they'll sell well, hell i know each of the jeep dealers in my area still have at least one final-final-edition on the lot one is a 24 and still want full price.

also makes me wonder if they had left over parts from the final-final-edition and this is a way to try and get rid of the overhead

I wonder if those leather seats retain their power adjustability like the final edition. I’d imagine not at this price point. It’s a feature I have to have on the passenger side if I want my wife to ride in it. She’s pretty short, so the ability to raise her seat is important.
I also wonder which other standard features have been removed? Gorilla glass? Foam panels on the inside of the top? Sound insulation? LED lighting?
Am I pissed about the lower price vs the final edition I bought? Yeah, a little. I’ll decide for sure when I know the exact differences.

from the few videos/pages ive seen, its a normal 392 with black fenders, no gold accents, and normal wheels. furthers my idea of left overs being pushed out

I thought I read in the specs above it has 35” tires with bead-lock capable wheels?

I believe that is correct but they are of the normal style/look vs the XR ones

I think LED lighting is gonna be standard across Wrangler. Dirt road cred had a video a day or so ago showing they’re adding it to the lineup and reducing pricing all around. Even the SOT is only $995 now as opposed to a few grand. I think Jeep is finally realizing they’re overpriced for their customer base.

definitely looks like LED lighting is included

I think this is going to set them up for a deceptive trade practices suit on 392 finals. Loss in value and not final.

Probably why they’re calling it the Moab 392… even though it’s basically a Rubicon. Oh well they’ll sell a crap ton of them at the price us 21-23 guys all paid

I love internet lawyers, you're are delusional if you think you can win a deceptive trade practices suit against a company like Stellantis. The Durango suit (which has a much better though still extremely weak claim than the Jeep FE) isn't even out of mediation and will likely be dismissed if no settlement, by which Stellantis admits no fault and just offers a pitance (only the lawyers will really get anything) to go away, is agreed. Regardless of what Grok told you, these "limited edition" vehicles were never sold as investment instruments and no future increase in value was ever expressed or implied.

Good luck finding an attorney for that one. Besides the final edition 392's are Rubicon which this is not being a MOAB, in my opinion there is no cause of action.

It's confusing, the thumbnail shows no hydroguide hood, but it's got a 392?
