In fact, with the Advanced Safety Group was award a "Superior" rating by the IIHS in front crash prevention with "Good" and "Good+" ratings in each test with the exception of headlights in the non-LED upscale models, which were rated Poor (LED-equipped Saharas and such received Moderate ratings.) Rear Passenger Head Protection was the only other "Moderate" rating.
So contrary to what most media outlets report, the Wrangler is just as safe as the new "techno-wonder" Ford Bronco. In fact, the two end up with nearly identical scores.
