Hey all, just wanted to drop by and introduce myself!
I'm located on the northern end of the Denver Metro, interested in hearing about any jeep groups up around my neck of the woods. I plan on actually using my 392, both as a daily driver, for camping, and moderate off-roading (trails like Middle St. Vrain, for those familiar) here in the Rockies.
Currently driving a 2014 JKUR (billet silver) and a 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody (destroyer gray), both manual. When I first heard about the 392 Wrangler, I loved the idea of it. Taking all the things I love about my JK (utility & capability) and the Challenger (392 & speeeeed), and smushing them together? Awesome! But, I gotta admit the thought of shelling out over $75k for a wrangler was an immediate turn off, haha. That being said, I slowly but surely began to convince myself it was worth it. The breaking point came when I started pricing out superchargers and V8 swaps to help out the JK's... uninspired powertrain, along with finding out about 4.56 gearing from the factory with the XR package.
I placed my order Nov. 26th 2021, and am currently in "D" status. Was fairly conservative on my options (XR aside):
2022 Wrangler 392
Sting Gray
Hardtop Headliner
Front Trailcam
Gorilla Glass Windshield
Trail Rail Cargo System
Xtreme Recon Package
Hoping to take delivery by early March, but we'll see what this year's supply chain has in store for me!
Pics of current rides attached for anyone that's interested.
