Is the XTREME recon stock 17” wheel
The same as the non XR stock 17” in terms of brakes clearance, offset etc?

I have a 392 XR 2021MY and I am trying to find out if the 13,4” APB FRONT BRAKE KIT will fit the stock wheel without any spacers or mods

Not the same. APB has a template on their site you can cut out and check on your wheel to be sure.

I believe with the 17x8 12mm offset XR wheel you’d have a bit more clearance than the 17x7.5 44.45mm offset not XR wheel. Not sure if enough though.

I would talk to them directly, even if you talk to any online vendor get the answer from more than one. Trust me it will save you a lot of trouble in the end

Sweet looking set up!
What did the overall up grade cost if you don`t mind me asking?
Did you have any bleeding the system issues?

No issues at all,

They look great! Is the stopping power difference noticeable?

Looking really nice, I didn't know they have this new color, thought they only have red.
Looks like you only replaced the front pair. Getting all 4 upgraded really costs some $$$.

That's correct i only upgraded the front ones, because the rear needed diferent ( bigger ) wheel to fit the upgrated rotors because of the handbrake

Good to know, so the XR wheels can only accommodate the APB in front but not rear?

This is the information i was given from APB

Hi Theodore,

If you are using factory 17” wheels, only the front can be customized to 13.4” rotors. The rear is still 14” which cannot be customized to 13.4” due to the parking brake in the hub is huge. We recommend you may put the front first to improve the stopping power, when you decide to upgrade the after-market wheels, you may get the rear kit in the future.

Nothing at all, stock XR wheels and tyres
Thank you. Finally, brake upgrade with the stock XR wheels. Thinking about ordering a set of front once i recieve my 2023 392XR. Or wait until they make a set for the rear, maybe someday APB will figure out how to upgrade the rear.

What dimensions of the after-market wheels are important? Diameter >17" or backspacing or something else?
