Hey all!
I reached out to my local reputable(google reviews) 4x4 shop for a quote to have have a lift kit and tires put on and was quoted "$1750 cash offer"!

Requested services for my 2022 392.
1) Clayton 2.5" Overland + Kit (coils, arms, sway bars, bump stops)
2) KING 2.5" Remote reservoir shocks
3) Mount & Balance 38" Nitto TG's
4) Alignment

This was my first estimate since it was the closest shop. This estimate on labor shocked me....... What has everyone's experience been with installation prices on similar services? is this an average cost to expect for the work listed above, price gouging, etc?

Seems a little high especially when you consider it not that technically difficult to accomplish. Consider farming out the tire mount/balance and front end alignment and do the rest yourself.

Otherwise, I would shop around for a better price.

200 per hour. As stated let the tire shop do the mount and balance

This is difficult to admit I put my ADS shocks on my self with remote reservoirs no big deal just time I also bought bump stops for the front . This is the hard part I had a qualified off road shop do the bump stops . I sat in the shop while they put them on. The horns ( tube ) has to be cut to proper length you need to let all the pressure out of the bump stops remove coils and cycle the suspension up all the way compress bump stops and make any changes then refill (charge) bump stops and re assemble . Lots of work they charged me 900 I was a little taken back but they work flawlessly and I have max up travel . They had to fab up a washer to protect the head of the button head bolt that keeps the rubber bump stops in the spring perch so it will not tear up the hydraulic rubber bumper. Yea expensive but I could be replacing that rubber bumper and not getting full up travel so in the end it was worth it .
Do what you can when you can .

Maybe a bit high but certainly not price gauging. Remember the shop has overhead and has to make a profit. It's really about your time and space to do the install. As others suggested have a tire shop do the mount and balance. Discount tire has been very good to me.

I’d shop around because a basic lift and shocks are easy to install. Unfortunately, most shops won’t install stuff they didn’t sell you 😉

If you have the tools and some basic mechanical skills… install the lift kit yourself and then take your jeep to a reputable 4x4 place for the alignment and tires.
