I updated my firmware yesterday. It fixed the entry speed for your pin code. Before the update you had to enter the pin rather slow. Now I can enter the code and not have to worry about entry speed....vast improvement!
Weighed mine ('21 non-XR) a couple of years ago. Full tank of gas without me inside:
Front: 3030 Lbs.
Rear: 2980 Lbs.
Full on: 6060 Lbs.
This includes several add-on's: MC skids, MC 3 1/2" lift, Warn winch, 37's, aftermarket rear steel bumper, RSE steps with additional armor, tools and compressor.
I'm thinking about installing Ruffstuff Differential covers on my '21 392. I'm concerned about the track bar contacting the cover at full articulation. I have the MC Game Changer 3 1/2" lift. Any feedback?
I installed the Rock-hard control arm skids (front and rear) about 2 years ago. I'm running MC 3.5" lift, shock relocation bracket and Fox 2.5's. I've run several 5/6 Moab trails over the past 2 years with no problems.
It's my understanding that the 392's have a 3rd generation Dana 44 axles. I hear that the front axle is basically from the Mojave, this leaves me to wonder if the rear axle is a new design. I also wonder if the rear axle shafts are beefed up in anyway, chrome molly?

It's my understanding that the transfer case clutches are "locked" in 4 high. While in 4 high auto, the clutches can "slip in and out" based on various sensor information, causing wear. I didn't know this earlier and have done a fair amount of dirt road traveling in 4 high auto, perhaps that's...
Finally got some resolution on the Error code. Turns out the clutches in the transfer case are burned....new TC on order....5 days out....
I wonder what cause the clutches to burn?
The dealer is going to remove the transfer case next week, open it up and see if there is an obvious failure of something. I'm told that there are only two electronic related parts in the transfer case, the actuator motor and the control module and those parts are available. The whole transfer...
They couldn't find anything obvious today, so I'm taking it in next Monday so they can open it up to see what's going on. A little nervous since I plan to go to Moab on Sept 1.
