I'm pretty sure I'll never have that problem. Even though I work from home and don't commute every day. June 1st will mark one year of ownership for my 20a. I'm already over 20k miles, so breaking 25k for the year is a certainty, and 30k a possibility.
at 4500 mile interval, my last report shows TBN at 3.0, indicating active additives still available. Anything below 1.0 is considered low. I'm going to push out to 5k and sample again. I'm thinking that might be the sweet spot.
So no need to adjust between paved highway or rocky trail or sand or mud..... because the average Jeep driver does not see changing conditions?
That's a lot of marketing spin.
At the most basic level, it would be nice to have an off-road and an on-road setting,
The floor area is like 7 feet by 4 feet. Slightly longer but narrower than a queen mattress. It's about 4 feet tall inside. I can go get actual measurements if you want.
If you remove the doors there is no unlock button, so the tailgate cannot easily be unlocked without the key. I suppose you could disconnect the door wiring as well, and use the mechanical features to get in.
I have a rear cargo rack that would make it difficult to remove anything below it...
"Back in the day", thieves realized that you could cut the average steering wheel with a hacksaw in about 10 seconds. No matter how tough the club was, steering wheels were easy to get through.
Um... no, no it doesn't. Engaging and disengaging the clutch when the front and rear driveshafts are running the same speed does not wear the clutch face. the engage/disengage mechanism would see wear, but not the clutch itself.
Imagine a manual transmission vehicle, stopped with the engine not...
"Torque applied" and slip are not 100% correlated.
Slip can only occur if there is an overall wheel speed difference between the front and rear axles. (spinning tires or sharp turns)
Anytime you are driving in a straight line with no wheel spin, there is zero potential for the clutch to slip...
I fought with something similar. I believe mine was a notification from my phone that was silenced, but when it was supposed to notify me, the phone cuts the volume on the drivers side front speaker so that I can hear the alert, but since it was silenced, nothing was ever audible.
After...
It does feel better.... smoother? I'm not exactly sure how to quantify it.
This is the bit I cut, that notch to make room for the extra bracket our 392s have:
@Ted392 said his did not need to be trimmed. Mine maybe could have went in without the notch, but I wanted to have room to wiggle the...
Bumping this thread for a couple of reasons.
One, I'll be moving up north of Fort Wayne next month (just west of Angola). I'm wondering if there are any of us up that way? I'm looking for recommendation to explore just up into Michigan.
Two, the wife and I ran about 25% of the Kentucky...
"Super clean oil changes"... except you still have to spin off the dang filter and spew oil everywhere. I really hate the way they did the oil filter. I could change the oil in my JK without spilling a drop. With my 392 I get oil all over my tools, my hands and the steering components.
I took...
Quick project today to install the Steer Smarts bracket.
The project was pretty easy, but the instructions called for cutting a bracket on the Jeep to make room for the Steer Smarts part. I didn't like the prospect of grinding on the Jeep, so I modified the aftermarket part a bit.
I put it in...
