Oil pressure is at its lowest when you’re idling. Also if your oil hasn’t been changed in a bit (towards the end of its life) Hemi’s are a bit more noisy.
Expand your search to the JL Wrangler forum. Larger audience on there for a potential sale. I’ve seen a few on EBay from a wrecked JL too in the past.

Just get the 24’ I wouldn’t spend the added money on a FE. You’re basically paying an up charge for a sticker / cosmetic package. Personally I’d keep the 23’ but you want the screen etc on the 24’. For what it’s worth I’m a huge fan of the SOT on my 22’ and I use it all of the time.

I know that it remains in place, I have the SOT on mine. My assumption is it’s there to add some lateral rigidity to the top when it’s open / retracted

I looked at mine and the bar you have highlighted in red looks to be a structural cross bar for the SOT. I’m thinking it aids with keeping the top rigid when it’s folded back / open. I know @Turboencabulator has taken his completely off and can give you some better guidance. I wonder if...

Time will tell if they made any changes. The issue on the 21-23’s seems inconsistent and doesn’t really seem to matter on vehicle use (primarily on road / off road) .
