What did you do to your Jeep 392 today? šŸ› ļø

Got around to installing Metalcloak spring correction pads. The drive side was fairly bowed out.

I've noticed that my stock spring is bowed on the front driver side like yours, the passenger side is good. I have a set of Clayton 392 performance coil springs to be installed, maybe it give an extra 1/4 -1/2" height increase. And I've been thinking about replacing the stock coil isolators (at the bottom) with MetalCloak coil correct pads, I'm not sure if they only match the MetalCloak coils or it'll work for Clayton coils too. Any thoughts?

I've heard some folks also rotated the upper coil isolator a bit and that further corrected the bowing.

My Metalcloak kit came with an upper isolator with groove for coil end so no adjustment for me there.

Iā€™d think the Metalcloak would work with any spring that would sit on the factory axle mounting point but canā€™t confirm.

Iā€™m honestly surprised how effective the lower isolators were to fix the bow.

My stock XR front springs show some bowing too, I'm hoping to fix them with new correction pads when I swap the springs soon. Did you feel the need to replace the rear lower pads too? It seems to be totally unnecessary since it's kinda flat.

Not sure on rear. RK sells some but not sure how effective they are.

We had to use both lockers to get to our jump off for snow shoes, even though it's no longer deep at 7500', it's heavy and icy. [otherwise the only other thing we did was wash the big chunks off on Sunday, put them right back on Monday]

Installed OMF beadlock rings on my 24 wheels. Super easy, just time consuming. The extra bolts part #06513130AA.
Is there room to fit a hex head bolt in there to replace the Torx?

Yes. OMF told me that they designed them to accommodate different bolt head types, including socket fitment. Hope the pics help.

You want to check this out: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/bowed-springs-and-correction-pads.128199/

The factory coil isolator pads left and right on the front are actually different heights. But the MC correction pads are the same height. Some member pointed out that he had to reinstall the factory Mopar ones to get the suspension level.

Just measured top of tire to fender and it was the same on both sides.

Donā€™t think Iā€™d go back to a bowed spring even if a little different.

Edit: I suppose to be more clear. The Metalcloak kit I purchased a while ago comes with an isolator pad for the top of the front coil.
The coil correction pad I just installed is for the bottom of the coil to correct any bowing.
May know that but wanted to clarify.

You are good if the correction pads fix the bowing and height measurements are the same. I was just surprised the factory lower isolators are not designed the same height while those correction pads are same thickness.
