I bought the 392 because I wanted the extra power to tow my patriot camper. I read terrible reviews about the MOPAR trailer break so decided to go with the Redarc. I installed before on my 2006 Land Cruiser and it was super easy. Redarc makes it plug dnd play.

I found some ideas on the JL wrangler forum. I even went so far as to have my buddy use his 3D printer to make this cigarette lighter insert. I thought it looked so factory!

I decided to go another direction. It worked, but made it hard to see the dial. So I took moved the cigarette lighter/12V accessory over near the passenger seat. Totally functional and looks completely factory!

I'm running the Mopar one without any drama. I'm not sure what there would be to complain about. It installed in like 10 minutes, and works exactly as I'd expect. Having it on my camp trailer in the mountains of Wyoming and Montana this summer was pretty nice. I think the Jeep and trailer stop better than just the Jeep alone.

There was discussion on the JL forum of faulty units that needed to be replaced. Perhaps the bad reviews were from improperly installed units or MOPAR was able to fix the problems. I’m glad yours worked properly. Having the trailer break, even with the small trailer I tow, makes a noticeable difference especially with the Jeep
