These look great! ....I have been considering them. How was the install?
Thank you! The drivers side was rough holding the inner fender back and trying to reach the plug to remove and reinstall. Passenger side was simple (10 min) once I figured out when I was putting the driver side back together I could remove one screw that the instructions didn't mention in addition to the two clips.

Added XR flares…. Super easy install

Next level unlocked! Exactly 1 month after the day I picked it up! I hit the gas hard right after the picture with the AWE exhaust in performance mode and my wife started screaming for me to slow down lol.

Yes it was I followed the break in pretty closely. I plan on doing the first “break in” oil change next weekend myself with AMSOIL and filter.

I’ve been considering selling the Borla and getting this system. 🤔
The AWE web site/you tube doesn’t seem to sound the greatest.
seems you like the exhaust note.

Amsoil makes an oil that meets the factory spec? I thought Penzoil was the only "approved" oil. Or are you just risking it?

Yea I really like it it’s still deep but raspy. It sounds nothing like any video clip (maybe on a good tv surround sound system?) that I’ve heard in person. Before you go through the trouble of selling your borla I’d try to meet up with someone who has it installed. But to me it sounds great. I have not heard the Borla in person either.

It reminds me of the M Performance aka Akropovic titanium exhaust on the 2016 M5 I had and never should have sold lol. The cold starts 😋🤤

I’ve never paid attention to the manufactures recommended oil brand only weight.I believe each auto manufacturer strikes a deal with an oil manufacturer to be their brand. Many years ago when Mobil 1 was the only main stream synthetic on the market, and far superior to non synthetic, not a single non exotic manufacturer recommended it.

I started using Amsoil after a bunch of research back in 2013 with my first M5 V8 TT. Turbos are notorious for using oil and BMW recommends Castrol ..Eww. I started using Amsoil instead, found it on the M5 forums, watched every comparison I could find and it was always on top. When I switched I burned less oil and it was always cleaner. I took my own oil to my free services at BMW lol. Used it in both M5s 2014, 2016 and my 2019 raptor.

After reading this I did some research as I had no idea Jeep recommended Penzoil but I couldn’t find out what that spec is that it has and Amsoil does not.

Just my preference from experience oil is like beer everyone has their favorite for varios reasons but I also can’t stand Joey Logano lol. I can’t believe Jeep could or would void any warranty over oil brand.

Just a couple of the first videos I ran across

Well, you'd be surprised then. If you ever have a catastrophic engine failure the first thing they will do is test the oil.
I’m not sure how they would be able to check the brand of oil if it was catastrophic then most likely no oil would be left in it lol. They’d probably blame my 37’s Banks Tazr or lights before they would send the oil off for analysis.

Unless it says somewhere in the owners manual that unless you use Pennzoil then your warranty is void don’t think it would hold up. They would then have to prove that the used product was a somehow inferior and caused the failure.

I just checked the owners manual and didn’t see Penzoil mentioned? Maybe I missed it but also if it says recommended then that means nothing.

The manual does "recommend" Penzoil, but I believe that Penzoil the only one that currently meets the specifications called for in the manual.

If they test the oil and it does not meet the spec, they will absolutely deny your warranty.

Another forum member has had an engine failure, and they tested the oil before warranting the engine.
