I wish I had your problem. I would do as you said and run the transfer case in 2WD with the hubs unlocked. If winter roads I would lock the hubs and run 4 Auto. Anytime you leave a hard surface I would use 4H Part time or 4L Part time depending on the terrain.
I have had the service 4WD a couple of times. I have learned that once I leave a hard service road to immediately put it in 4H or 4L part time. I also use my Tazer to force 2WD most of the time while driving on hard service roads. I'm in the process of adding the Front Axle Disconnect (FAD) to...
I have the MetalCloak 3.5" GC lift. I'm at 6.3 degrees caster with no vibration using the MC 1310 driveshaft. I'm getting tired of removing the skid plates to lube the CV on the front driveshaft. I'm considering using the Tazer to run the transfer case in 2WD. Then adding the FAD to the front...
The 392 axle is a 2 piece as I have had mine apart. If someone could figure out the wiring for the FAD motor it would be possible. This would require you to use your Tazer to put the transfer case into 2WD. I run mine in 2WD most of the time. I'm getting tired of removing my skid plates ever oil...
Has anyone thought of trying to add a FAD to the front axle? Several people are having front driveshaft vibrations after installing a new lift and driveshaft. My front driveshaft has no vibrations but I would like to decrease the lube requirements on my aftermarket front driveshaft. You would...
Another thing to consider on choosing a lift kit is weather you will need a new front driveshaft. This will depend on the articulation of the lift kit you choose. My MC 3.5" Game Changer lift required a new front drive shaft because of the increased articulation. Whit that being said it...
This is my post about the fan. Ever since I installed the fan I have never had the power steering hot light again. I only run the fan when aired down to about 10 psi. It's a pretty easy and cheap fix.
Give Teraflex a call. When I was out at the Easter Jeep Safari I was talking to the owner of Teraflex and they had put a 60 in the front of their 392 Wrangler. I'm pretty sure he said they had a problem with the transfer case running it in 4H auto with the hubs unlocked. I have the stock axles...

I have the Metalcloak front DS and run the factory rear shaft with no problems (Metalcloak 3.5" GC Lift). What sucks about the front CV shaft is that every oil change I have to remove some skip plates, remove the front DS to grease the CV joint. I would like to have a maintenance free front...
